Deeply personal choices
So often, when an actor finds the good grace to be working, he or she finds that they are on their own with the part. It is, ultimately, the responsibility of the actor to make deeply personal choices that will get them to the place that thoroughly realizes and truthfully reveals the character to an audience. You cannot, nor should you, rely on others to "figure the part out" for you and deliver your performance.
